Don Champagne (Patrick Wilson) appears to live the ideal life, at least the ideal life his wife Mona (Katherine Heigl) desires. She has their life planned and keeps a scrap book "goal book" which she reads religiously. If by some stupid chance you peeked at the DVD cover, you know she will do anything to keep her life on an even keel. However, there appears a boat rocker to her plans. Our happy couple has sex 6 times a year and only when it is on the calendar. Don hires major league babe Dusty (Jordana Brewster - I need to watch D.E.B.S. again.) who throws herself at him causing blackmail complications that can only have the expected final solution. "There is ever only my way."Yes. this is another quirky housewife psycho killer film, most of which were a bit better, which is not to say this wasn't entertaining. The kids provided a good side story of competing siblings with the boy Andrew (Aiden Flowers) losing out to Alison (Madison Wolfe) to the dismay of dad. They needed to have one or two mores scenes with the kids to make for a good subplot and to help establish character and maybe bring out that which we may not speak, because gutting and dismemberment is an option.Would make for an excellent rental or one to add to your nice quirky killer collection. People who like this film might want to check out "Miss Meadows."Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity (Steffie Grote, Catherine Ashton + background strippers)

Remove your wanna be critic shoes for a minute and enjoy this movie for what it is; just a goofy fluff of a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and neither should any of us. Just like in an action movie where the star gets punched kicked shot at, and makes a car do things that are just impossible, suspend belief for 90 minutes and allow yourself to be entertained. Then feel free to go watch Citizen Kane when you're ready for a grandiose cinematic masterpiece.

It took this movie around 30 minutes to make me wanna turn it off. I didn't, but at least I can help others not to make the same mistake. So if you watch this movie and you don't like how it goes, you should know it won't get any better. Now let's talk about its type. This is not comedy. I bet you can find more funny lines in a random drama movie. This movie is cynical and wrong in so many ways that you just sit there on top of your sofa thinking how on earth could someone possibly put this all together?! It's not very predictable, but it gets so bad that you would even prefer it to be predictable instead of horrible. But you don't have to take my word for it, check it out.

I'm going to give this a strong 7/10... I picked it up in the DVD shop read the back put it down...saw a few positive reviews on here went back, gave it a chance and I'm very glad that I did.A really enjoyable film! Katherine Heigl is just awesome. Not someone that was ever really on my radar I mean... (use Troy McClure voice) - we all remember her from "knocked up" which was frankly a little disappointing but she was awesome all the same... man she knocks it out of the park with this one. The first 30mins you think you know where its going.. pretty funny and you are getting into the film...then boom she takes up a level and you have yourself a really sexy dark comedy with twists and direction changes that keep you on your toes all the while with some great comedy lines in there.Katherine Heigl's performance would warrant a 10.. loved her in it. Overall the film is definitely worth a watch. You won't be holding your ribs with laughter and you wont be hiding behind the cushion but it will make you laugh and smile and nod in appreciation that you didn't see that coming.Defintley worth watching you wont be disappointed.
