squici Bad character development, bad dialogue, overall badly written script. The acting was also bad and poorly directed. The directing was awful and the cinematography.. Well not to criticize the hard working people on the film, i'll just put it on the lack of vision of the director and/or producers. Come to think of it the only OK thing in the whole movie was the gore killing and even with that I didn't find myself thrilled, scared or excited. The movie didn't give me any emotion at all.I don't know how I went through all of the movie, the only reason might be that there was nothing else better on TV.I really disliked the movie and I don't recommend watching it, but hey i'm not a fan of the franchise. This is my subjective and disappointed opinion.
jlthornb51 Director Declan O'Brien does a great job bringing the third sequel of the Joyride franchise to the screen. With a taut, intelligent script and imaginative on location shooting, he creates an atmosphere of true dread in which the characters fight for their very lives as they do battle with the notorious trucker known as Rusty Nails. The cast is uniformly excellent, Kirsten Prout as a lovely victim of Nails a real standout. She is a superb actor and the camera clearly loves her. She lights up every scene in which she appears, even those of the most horrifying nature. This film does have its fair share of gore and horror but that does not take precedence over plot and character development. Overall, a fine entry in this franchise and one of the better contributions to the Crazy Trucker Genre. Once you immerse yourself in its riveting story, you won't soon forget the haunting imagery and shocking horrors that are Joyride III: Rode Kill.
cas-paice It is very good comeback, again, for Rusty Nail. And maybe once again, for Rusty, he has been made for different. Someone could feel, Rusty is 5-10 years older. But anyway, the plot is actually clear and all details for plot following has been explained. Have to just say, Rusty is very raw and bloody in this movie. I could say: Maybe little less, please, but eh in that case that movie has been made for more bloody. And second, the plot went straight to action or something like that happened. Reason to bother Rusty, that is very weird but i has been told: Rusty is bloody and very angry, do not play games with him. He does not gave no mercy for anyone. Anyway, I have been watched two previous Joy Ride movies. They all 3 are very good.
TheJoker35 This movie was a huge disappointment for me. I am a huge fan of the first two films. They had suspense, humor, and kept you on the edge of your seat almost throughout. This one only had a few of those moments. There were a ton of flaws in this movie, and I'm about to mention a couple, so, spoiler alert. The acting: The acting wasn't very good at all. I'd say the worst acting came from Jewel (Played by Kirsten Prout). Her screams were not convincing, especially near "the end". Almost none of the characters were likable. I was almost hoping Rusty Nail would kill them all off. Rusty Nail: Who the hell was that guy? The guy in this movie was NOT Rusty Nail. Rusty Nail has a deep, scary, and threatening voice. Ken Kirzinger did not sound like that at all. Another flaw about him; they showed his face. Constantly. Rusty Nail has always been hiding in the shadows. Sure, you can kinda sorta see his face in the other two, but only quick glimpses. The only things I can think of that I liked about this movie, were the atmosphere, and the death scenes. Yes, some of the deaths could make a person cringe, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you're hoping for mindless violence/gore, this movie is for you. If you're hoping to see a movie with the charm of the original, avoid. 5/10.
