grantss Your average slasher-horror movie. That is, pretty bad...A bunch of twenty-somethings are driving to Canada to get to a (Nascar- type) race. They annoy a truck driver who then gets his revenge in rather sadistic ways...Just from that summary you'll know this movie is hardly original. The highway scenes are derivative of Duel, and just about every highway- confrontation movie since then. The latter half of the movie is pretty much just Saw (or one of its zillion sequels). So nothing new, and just more sadistic violence for the sake of it. Weak story, paint-by-numbers direction.Avoid.
TheJoker35 This movie was a huge disappointment for me. I am a huge fan of the first two films. They had suspense, humor, and kept you on the edge of your seat almost throughout. This one only had a few of those moments. There were a ton of flaws in this movie, and I'm about to mention a couple, so, spoiler alert. The acting: The acting wasn't very good at all. I'd say the worst acting came from Jewel (Played by Kirsten Prout). Her screams were not convincing, especially near "the end". Almost none of the characters were likable. I was almost hoping Rusty Nail would kill them all off. Rusty Nail: Who the hell was that guy? The guy in this movie was NOT Rusty Nail. Rusty Nail has a deep, scary, and threatening voice. Ken Kirzinger did not sound like that at all. Another flaw about him; they showed his face. Constantly. Rusty Nail has always been hiding in the shadows. Sure, you can kinda sorta see his face in the other two, but only quick glimpses. The only things I can think of that I liked about this movie, were the atmosphere, and the death scenes. Yes, some of the deaths could make a person cringe, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you're hoping for mindless violence/gore, this movie is for you. If you're hoping to see a movie with the charm of the original, avoid. 5/10.
Claudio Carvalho A race team is driving to Canada to participate in an auto race. They decide to take a shortcut through a lonely road and when they surpass the truck of Rusty Nail (Ken Kirzinger), the psychopathic trucker hunts the down and captures each one of them to torture and kill."Joy Ride 3" is an awful collection of clichés with the usual stupidities of the characters and situations and omnipresence of the indestructible villain. The car has a flat tire when the driver is not near his friends; the cellular never work when the group is in danger; the group splits and tries to rescue the friend that is in danger instead of calling the police; the killer does not die and is always one step ahead of the group; the girl leaves a safe position to help the good guy and only jeopardizes the situation; the police officers take always the most stupid attitude to die. The good thing is the gore and realistic special effects. In the end, I do not understand why I spent my time watching this predictable garbage. My vote is three.Title (Brazil): "Perseguição 3 – Correndo para a Morte" ("Pusuit 3 – Running to the Death")
Baleegh Shaw The movie started with a quite a graphical scene of a young couple who tried to rob a trucker but instead become victim of insane driver. The rest of the story unfolded as anticipated, but a psychopath was able to kill three guys and one gal was quite over exaggerated. The trucker movement at the ending part of the movie was way strange then normal; as he was present at different locations which were miles apart in a rig manages to reach everywhere which was not what happens actually. The time when he was struck by the car and the moment when his truck was placed in the crusher makes me think how can he be so fast which such a bulky body. Moreover; once his truck was in the crusher and the machine claw was on his head he was shown in the truck but once the police arrived he was long gone is also not shown correctly. Once all the scenes were over he was walking alongside the road and was picked up by another trucker was quite funny. I rate this movie 5 out of 10 as majority of the scenes were shown which can be perceived before they could actually happen.
