Sancy Jeg In this story three people go to a mysterious island called 'The land of lost'. There they meet a caveman called Chaka. They lost the machine to go back to the real world. So their adventure begins when they explore and go on finding the machine. It was funny adventurous movie. I have always seen serious adventurous but this one was good. Everyone watch this movie and especially I suggest people who are sad to watch this movie to laugh.
rikigagnon In adventure comedy Land of the Lost, Dr. Rick Marshall attempts to prove his theories about space-time travel and accidentally gets sucked into a space-time vortex, along with his assistant Holly, and a self-taught survivalist Will. They are transported into a lost land populated by dinosaurs and slow-moving lizard people, with everywhere they turn discovering remnants of history like a 1920s style motel, or a WWII era fighter plane. Despite their initial joy to discovering his theory was right, Marshall realizes that they lost the Tachyon Meter, a key instrument that can open and close the portal linking Earth and this Land of the Lost. They quickly gather all of their things and they go off to find their only means of escape. Along they way, they meet their only ally, a primate named Chaka. With few resources and Chaka's knowledge of the land, they have survive this strange world and find their way back to Earth. I recommend this movie for people who enjoy action comedies, as well as people who enjoy well written scenes. Land of the Lost provides great action scenes, from being chased by dinosaurs multiple times to fighting off hordes of lizard people. Not only are these scenes action-packed, but they have a funny tone to them. While being chased by dinosaurs, Dr. Marshall is yelling about how to run away from it yet gets caught himself! In general, people who give advice tend to be right however in this case Marshall kept giving advice and was wrong. This tends to be a pattern throughout the entire movie. For someone who likes ironic humor, this movie is a great choice. This movie provides hilariously written scenes. When the group comes across an ancient temple, they discover a giant vibrating crystal in the middle of it. Rather than being cautious about it, Will walks up and puts his hand on it. Then he continues to sing "Do you Believe in Life After Love", in an auto tune-sounding voice from the vibrations that the crystal has. Rick Marshall calls him childish, then proceeds to do the same thing. Again, it is an ironic comedic scene both ironically and slapstick because the singing itself is funny but the contradiction between what Marshall does and says is also funny. In general, these scenes are funny because of the contradiction and slapstick characteristics. Since scenes like this are abundant throughout the movie, someone who enjoys this humor will love this movie. In conclusion, I recommend someone who is looking for an action comedy to watch this movie, because not only are there scenes where the action is downright funny, but there is also a rhetorical or ironic feel to most scenes that just adds another layer of humor to the movie. 10 out of 10, would watch again (I've actually watched it about 7 times now).
gpknopp Will Ferrell shows his mettle as the Crown Prince of cinematic comedy, applying visual gags from every Hollywood comic come before him, from Buster Poindexter and Harold Loyd and Chaplin through to Eddie Murphy. As the average smarts smart man's Adam Sandler fan, he, with his sidekick - that guy from Eastbound and Down - even manage to slur Polish people. Lots of lines fall flat, including the gag about men liking show tunes. I mean, why?!? While not recapturing the innocent charm of the original series, which forms my earliest TV-viewing memories, the laugh count, the standard measure of any comedy production, stands at 3 halfway through. Not really a high figure on the face of it, it still is infinitely times more funny than any Adam Sandler movie ever made. Just to reinforce this a little bit for the slow readers - lots of funny shtuff. A six on the scale of 1 to 10 is actually a 10 on the comedy B movie scale, by the way. Survey question: Are you watching this on basic cable? If so, it is likely thanks to the fact that Land of the Lost lost lots of moo la upon original release.
