Rainey Dawn The film started out good - I enjoyed the first 30 minutes or so of it... but it started going down hill after that... I ended up fast-forwarding through it to see how it ended. You are better off with House on Haunted Hill than this film -- same basic idea but My Little Eye is a month in the house instead of over night. 4/10
gavin6942 Five young people apply to live in an isolated house together for six months whilst their every move is filmed by numerous cameras. Each has their reason for wanting to be there -- fame, money, adventure.Even since "Blair Witch", we have had this stream of films with found footage, hidden cameras, and that awful night vision. I am not a fan of it, but I guess others are because it still persists today (2013) with endless "Paranormal Activity" sequels. Some of this film has it and some is just shot normally. Had there been more hidden camera than there was, I would rate it even lower. My reason for watching this was seeing Bradley Cooper in the cast list. His role is relatively minor -- he is not one of the five young people. If you are a big fan of his, check this out... but otherwise, no need. He is not even on screen enough to say if he did a good job or not and the rest of the film is average at best.
Raul Faust Much like "House of 9", this movie is about 5 twenties who get into a reality show a little different from what they thought it was.In the beginning it runs kinda slowly, but after the first death it becomes more involving and intriguing. "My Little Eye" looks amateurish and low-budget, but that's what brings reality to this kind of movie. It has its tense moments, its suspenseful moments and was very good after creating a creepy atmosphere. "House of 9" was released 3 years after this one and seemed to have copied many things of this movie, but they did a much better job there. They had better casting, better plot and a much better ending with philosophical thoughts. But after all, it's still a good movie that deserves to be more known than it currently is.
Scarecrow-88 Five young adults from various backgrounds accept an invitation to star in a reality show for a hefty sum if they, as a collective, can remain together for a specific length of time. What they do not know is that they are actually part of a secret internet based "snuff-game" recorded for wealthy clients betting on who will survive to the end. Also, one amongst the group isn't the innocent he/she appears to be..Gimmicky concept was kind of hip around the late 90's/early millennium thanks to "camera films" like "The Last Broadcast" and "The Bliar Witch Project." I found "My LIttle Eye" entertaining, with how the group slowly comes apart at the seams as unpredictable occurrences begin to unravel the group. Those mysterious masterminds who have created this reality show with their mice trapped in a maze as voyeuristic eyes gaze on them from their computer monitors, a select few with the financial means and morbid taste for this kind of "entertainment." Essentially these five people are mice, with cameras hidden everywhere, from shower heads to ball point pens. There are no avenues of escape from prying eyes, even in their supposed "reality safe zone" where cameras are not supposed to intrude, the subjects of this game find no breaks. I think the idea of having the whole film shot through hidden cameras rather ingenious, and commend the filmmakers for what had to be a difficult process, particularly in the editing room. Pretty sure a lot of footage was shot, from various angles often on one particular person. I'm not sure the climax, where a policeman shows up as the killer is after the "final girl", actually works, but overall I found this horror spoof of reality television rather satisfying. Others may not. The acting and characters are adequate, but I think the gimmick is the showcase here..and this may very well be what turns many away.
