tdrish The real problem with Problem Child is that its a movie that should have never been made, in my opinion. I don't know who thinks impulsive, hyperactive children acting like spoiled little brats is funny, but luckily they have not made many films of this genre past the year of this release. Back then, I suppose people thought it was hilarious, children going around doing whatever the (explicit) they want, but myself, being childless, I thought Problem Child was so unfunny. Problem Child centered on a vindictive child named Junior, who nobody wanted to adopt, and with good reason...he's very destructive. When he finally finds adoptive parents, its more of a "What have we done?", but they don't want to let go, because that's what every other parent has done. In Problem Child 2, Junior has met his match...somewhat. They move to a new town, where Junior meets a ( very ugly girl) named Trixie, who is supposed to be worse then he is. Worse, is not the word. More dangerous is the word. However, Junior tries his best to reign supreme that he is the king of old and new tricks, but his plans are foiled every time, as Trixie seems to outsmart him every time. It will take a while before they shake and decide to be friends. From there, all that's left is to unite his parent with her parent, so that they can fall in love...with their help, and the help of some weird ball with a heart on it....did somebody actually write this script?? Myself, I thought Problem Child was a lousy movie, so with this being less entertaining that that, I would safely assume this to be an even lousier sequel. And it has not aged well. Not to mention, poor Trixies career went absolutely nowhere after the filming of this. Film tries to capture heart and soul. It captures one of the two, and very little of it. Thumbs down, Problem Child 2...you're not big enough to roll with the big dogs!
welchjaxon My gosh, If there is any childhood memory i hate the most it's watching this movie. As soon as this stupid film crawled it's way back into my mind i knew i had to say something about it somewhere so it can stop swimming around in my head. I will say that this is the first movie i can remember that's so sad it made me puke. The things the kid does in the film go way passed the funny slap stick it was trying to be and swirls into a cartoon physics defying mess. The vomit scene is discussing. the jokes are rude and crude. It's lousy bad and and goes as one of the worst films i've ever seen. Now i'm going to end this review and smash my head on the counter till this stupid films case is out of my head.
Chris Another hilarious comeback in the Problem Child series. Impressive acting by Michael Oliver who played Junior. John Ritter and the entire cast did impressive as well.Problem Child 2 is a funny childhood/ family classic and the first Problem Child was funny too. Yes, again The Problem Child series is one the funniest yet best family comedy films of all time. It's a recommendation for all families who love comedy family films. Problem Child and Problem Child 2 is must watch. Seeing Michael Oliver on screen in both of these films will always bring laughs for a lifetime LMAO. He is beyond crazy and funny!Problem Child 2 another awesome flick in the problem child series!
Brian T. Whitlock (GOWBTW) This Dennis the Menace wannabe is up to his old tricks again. But this time, he has a partner in crime who's worse than him: Trixie(Ivyann Schwan)! This pint-sized prankster gives Junior(Micheal Oliver) a run for the money. Other than that both he and Ben(John Ritter) are living happily together since his first wife left him. Now there's word of his availability, he gets set up by father Big Ben(Jack Warden) with a wealthy woman named Lawanda Dumore(Laraine Newman, SNL). This woman got it all, except a kind heart. When Junior and Trixie finished taking jabs at each other, they come to common grounds when it come to their single parents. At the wedding, Trixie did the saving just like Junior tried to. And they both succeeded. Ben told his father to marry Lawanda. Big Ben should have known better to fix up his son to a child hater like her. It's nice that Amy Yasbeck returned to the sequel as a different woman. Unlike Flo, Annie has a kinder heart. This movie was just as fun as the first. It's a shame that the critics slammed it as well.3 out of 5 stars!
