Reviews

brixtonwa I thought this movie would be pretty good from reading the reviews and description of it. Sadly it reminded me of watching the television show falling skies. The aliens looked about the same they made the same noises just seem like a big rip off of that show and also seem to be like several other sci-fi alien movies all rolled into one. I found it very disappointing to watch and I really think a kid again directed better written better and had more creativity then do use other science fiction movie television show plot lines and special-effects.
ljorash4 This film is very noticeably low budget to the trained eye. Minor inconsistencies from reality (people one handing a sub machine gun; spoken word being louder than gunshots; slightly campy dialogue, the French aid worker has a russian accent and name) keep this from being a strong recommendation from me, but the themes and plot are definitely interesting. The mystery of who our protagonist actually is keeps the suspense up through out the film and allows us to traverse thre African wilderness while entertained in speculation. The special effects in this one are also better than most low budget sci fi flicks. The finale to the film does feel a bit rushed, but overall this is a good time waster. If you enjoy sci-fi or action then this will appeal to your palette.
dutchtea-322-789530 So this movie kept me interested for most of the time. And than it ended and I literally went WTF? It would have benefitted hugely from a better storyline and a more satisfying ending. Lee Pace makes for a decent action hero. Maybe the movie just took itself a bit too seriously. You could do worse watching it. If you don't mind vague movie-endings
SnoopyStyle An American soldier (Lee Pace) in Africa faces an unknown foe. He is knocked unconscious and wakes up in a police jail cell next to Nadia (Bérénice Marlohe). Without memory of even his name, she calls him Bo and tells him that the world has been invaded by aliens. They escape to search for his base while dealing with remnant government forces, rebels, bandits, resistance fighters, and the formidable alien drones. The CGI action is fine. It's becoming easier to make a functional one of these. The story isn't anything special. There are some questionable logic in the last act. It doesn't help that Nadia gets taken before then. This is fine up to a point. This ain't no District 9.
