The original Screamers movie was an entertaining scifi film that could best be described as a serious science fiction variation on Tremors. Years later the sequel is clearly inspired by James Cameron's Aliens and if you don't expect much it's pretty entertaining.In this highly predictable tale a team of soldiers are traveling to the Screamers planet because of a distress call they received. They only have six days to rescue the one who sent out the signal before a big meteor storm will destroy the whole planet. Okay, let's do this!The story will then give you all the clichés that you want, from the lead who has a personal score to settle to the one who wants to steal the Screamers technology to sell it on earth (yes, that's Burke!). In classic The Thing fashion anybody could be a Screamer so if our protagonist meets this handsome survivor (a young Stephen Ammell) you'll probably know how this will end.Despite all its flaws Screamers: The Hunting is a nice low-budget action movie. There is a lot of blood and although actress Gina Holden is no Ripley she does a decent job (and isn't hard on the eyes either). Go see it!

Most reviewers rip a movie like its the worst movie ever even though its not. Is this the worst movie ever, no. Can you watch it start to finish, sure. But should you? Well, id say no. Yes this is a bad movie, and a lot of that has to do with plot. The writers had to give a reason to return to this planet, but the reason given is bad. The way literally every person dies is rather stupid, and the ending was awful. Most of the writing, the plot, and the dialogue just doesn't make sense. The characters don't do anything that makes sense. Watch this only if your a fan of the first and are curious how bad they could mess it up, which is basically why i watched it. And if thats not the case, then im sure there has to be something else you can do for and hour and half better than watching this movie.

Well I can't really compete with the comments below that rate this movie as horrible. The fact is, they are all quite correct. What I can tell you is, this movie was MADE for the Satellite of Love. I mean, this is a true match made in heaven. Mike, Crow and Servo could probably get TWO episodes out of this movie without flexing any real muscle and probably three with just a bit of thought. The dialog alone is enough to leave you in stitches. Apparently, elite military units just kinda ramble around, shooting randomly from no cover at people with bows and arrows. Yea, it's THAT kind of movie. If you're a fan of the first one and you just HAVE to watch this, gather up some friends and spring for a case of cheap beer. Better that, than suffer alone.

Are you freaking kidding me this movie was beyond awful.Well the acting was terrible, which just supplemented the poorly written script, it was flat and obvious who was playing for what side. It wasn't even close to what the original Screamers tried to do. This wasn't a Psychological Thriller, this was a shoot 'em up Sci-Fi Movie done very poorly.Gina Holden just terrible and F**KING DUH she's playing Col. Hendricksson's daughter.Greg Bryk the Intrepid Commander of the Mission, apparently in the future Officer's have no sense of honor since we discover that he only came because he's greedy.Lance Hendriksen needed a far bigger part as he was the only decent actor in the movie.As for the ending. Wow, Morons, Think About it, as a military officer you would never take a ship home that could have something harmful to the planet. They would have died. And in the end what can I say other then this seems a lot similar to Species? TRASH. I recommend that you watch this movie if it on on TV, abridged, and if there is absolutely nothing else on. You'll thank me for it.1 out of 10
