classicacres7050 If you are a Sinbad fan don't buy or watch this movie. I have been a Sinbad fan for over 50 years and have seen many Sinbad movies, but this one shouldn't even have the name on it. In fact they don't even pronounce it correctly...it sounds like "sandbag" in the movie. After watching it I was amazed that Patrick Stewart had anything to do with it. The special effects were a joke. You'd think it was made in the 40s or 50s instead of just last year. Even the blooper reel wasn't funny. I also should have had a hint about it when I didn't recognize any of the actors. I like to see new ones and I hope some of them get a second chance with a better script. The director should go back to playing terrorists or something like that. Again, don't waste your time or money, even if you have a Sinbad movie collection like I do. It won't be a part of it.
kiseli666 I had to register and make review for this masterpiece. I usually newer leaving comments on IMDb, but i was provoked when i saw all that 10 star reviews. Must be the film crew or family of makers of this s... If i could gave 0 i would, the movie is awful, newer watched worst film, could not finish it how much disaster this movie is...The first animation of that blue thing is awesome :)) like its made in 80's, special effect are also very bad, and poorly done. Acting had some nice moments, but overall very bad...Vote:VFX: 0 Acting: 0 Animations: 000Don't lose time watching this.
parker miles Thought I would throw in my two cents after reading all the reviews. Saw Sinbad with the folks at the theater, I glanced at the billboard ads on the 110 Fwy in LA, and decided to check it out, cause they looked very interesting.I thought the film used a vintage style of filmmaking that hasn't been seen in a while, which is kind of refreshing to say the least. After all how much CGI can a man take?? It was nice to see the creatures animated the way they were. I thought the lead actor and director Shahin Sean Solimon did a superb job bringing back a classic. I noticed some of the reviews seem to be from folks who have some kind of issue, but it is definitely not indicative of what this movie is. I would check it out for your self.I also thought rest of the cast was cool, loved the fact that there was a bizarre mix of races. All the way from the white girl crew member, to an Asian Genie? :))At the end of the day and in my humble opinion Sinbad The Fifth Voyage was two smiles up! . My mom and dad also loved it too!!
Shane Ball If i could use three words to describe Sinbad fifth voyage, it would have to be: Retro, Fun, and Uniquely Indie....it's a total blast from the past. it moves right along, it's never boring, and the acting was good enough for me to sink my teeth into. This type of film uses the stop motion animation, although some people might find it crude and out dated by today's standards, but I am so sick of the over the top CGI in most movies that I found this very cool to see again. I thought the story was well plotted and well executed , and it's a timeless classic, so i guess it's no surprise it has just been remade.I thought the director shahin solimon did very well considering he was the lead as well. That can not be easy. i would say three thumbs up...great family fun. See it when you get a chance.
