GL84 After a series of strange murders, the workers at a high-end fashion magazine find themselves at the center of the reign of terror by the savage killer and must find out the motives and identity of the masked madman before they all fall to his blood-lust.This here is one of the best and sleaziest of the giallos ever made. That comes out here almost from the very beginning as the main source of the film being undertaken at a fashion magazine makes for a wholly appropriate base for the film's ongoing and nearly relentless sleaze to come through. Not only does this allow for the expected nudity showing the girls getting dressed for the shoots as well as the nudity found there in those shoots, but the ever-present backstabbing and politicking expected to be a part of such a business gets featured here with the women pressured into sleeping with the prospective new clients, the general snubbing of women in order to break the next big face and the general air of sleaze and temptation featured here makes this fit in so well with the genre as a whole while getting the most out of it's premise. Getting the chance to see these kinds of women naked as often as they are there would've been enough, but to do so with the addition of the other nude scenes or just simple inserts of them getting topless for no reason makes this one quite a bit of fun and wholly enjoyable with the film really feeling like a continual onslaught of naked female flesh almost from the start which is greatly appreciated here not only because of the quality of such scenes but also for their ability to distract from what else is happening. Once it gets away from the sleaze, there's a lot more to like here. The opening ambush and attack by the killer on the victim at his house works nicely with the surprise stalking getting some nice suspense along the way, a later stalking scene at a victim's house while under the impression of a social visit is pretty suspenseful while the highlight murder sequence of a nude woman in her apartment makes for a wholly enjoyable and suspenseful sequence as the large darkened apartment and amorous activities beforehand set the stage for a wholly enjoyable highlight sequence even without the ever-present nudity. As well, the park- side encounter works out a thrilling suspenseful attack as the blackmail payoff is handled well and the follow-up hit-and-run makes for a rather strong conclusion. Other great scenes include the hair-raising car ride abduction through the city, the thrilling encounter in the photo-lab after the killer cuts the lights for a great sequence and the big chase scene at the finale is a wholly entertaining variant which all give this some rather enjoyable times. That said, there's still a few issues here that aren't so enjoyable. Like most of the films in this style, the main storyline motivation for the killer here is quite lame and seems incredibly perfunctory motive for the rampage, letting it play out in rather perfunctory manners and getting the rather confusing angle that's expected here. As well, the fact that this one is so sleazy and violent might make it hard to get through on same cases, and it can be somewhat difficult for some to really get through here. These here are where the film somewhat gets held down.Rated Unrated/NC-17: Continuous Full Nudity, Graphic Violence, sexual scenes including strong hints of sadism with S&M undertones, Language, drug use and explicit themes of domestic abuse.
Scott LeBrun "Strip Nude for Your Killer" is one Giallo that lives up to that lascivious title. To say that it's trashy is an understatement. Yet, it's also as stylish as any in the genre, even artfully done, with great use of lighting. The story deals with brutal murders of those connected with a modelling agency, after one of the models dies during an abortion. A charming sleaze ball photographer, Carlo (Nino Castelnuovo), becomes determined to unmask the killer, who wields a mean knife and wears a motorcycle helmet (as does the killer in the American slasher "Night School" six years later).Director Andrea Bianchi, whose story was the basis for Massimo Felisattis' screenplay, sure gets down to business right away, as we get delectable nudity RIGHT as the movie starts. After that he continues to deliver the sleazy goods, especially as the stunning Femi Benussi as aspiring model Lucia Serrazini does the full frontal thing for an extended amount of time.Granted, this movie slows down a little too much at times and lets some scenes go on longer than necessary, in particular the scene where bumbling, corpulent Maurizio Montani (Franco Diogene) tries to coerce Doris (Erna Schurer) to have sex with him. However, in one critical scene where Magda Cortis (Edwige Fenech) is terrorized at the agency, Bianchi keeps the suspense going and going, to the point where some of us may be screaming for Magda to move faster, but also to the point that when the killer pounces, it does come as a genuine shock. The movie is also appreciably played with a bit of humour, a lot of it coming from the pathetic Maurizio. It works pretty well as a murder mystery, with the identity of the killer not readily predictable. The ladies are all absolutely ravishing, from Schurer to Amanda as Gisella Montani to Benussi to Solvi Stubing as Patrizia to Giallo superstar Fenech, who's compelling as the photographer who does have what it takes to be a model.Overall, this is a solid example of the genre that does, at the very least, appeal to all of us in a very sordid way.Seven out of 10.
Boba_Fett1138 The title of this movie sounds promising enough. And so does its concept. But the movie just doesn't deliver. It's not an horrible movie but it remains a disappointing one nevertheless.Guess it's a Giallo but it just doesn't feel like a traditional one to me. It takes some wrong approaches and at times this can be a clumsy looking movie. Let's just say that Andrea Bianchi ain't no Dario Argento. And for a movie with the word nude in its title...the movie does has an awful lot of nudity in it! I have seen porn with less nudity and sex than than movie has. Can't really say it always serves its purpose, story-wise, though the movie does luckily feature plenty of beautiful young Italian women in it, so what am I exactly complaining about. But the movie does only really 'shock' with its nudity. Blood, gore and violence is present in this movie but it just never felt as if it was being the movie its main ingredient. It will disappoint the fans of the genre and quite frankly there aren't really ever enough killings in this movie, or perhaps the problem is that there is too much time between them and it all seems to happen very random, without any apparent logic behind them. It also makes the mystery behind whodunit far less interesting. It also makes the movie as a whole just not very interesting to watch. This is also because it features lots of pointless sequences, that let the movie start to drag. It all still could had been good and interesting if some more horror/slasher stuff was going on.It's also weird that the movie its main character isn't always present throughout the movie. It also doesn't help him that he isn't being a very likely person. Just a typical Italian playboy, that looks too old to be still hanging around and fooling around with young beautiful women.Really not the most intriguing or effective Giallo out there. The first shot is still legendary though!5/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/
Bezenby Strip nude for Your killer must be, for me, the most outrageously sexist giallo ever made. Fair enough, you've got to expect a fair amount of it in these movies(or else you'd be let down) but Andrea Bianchi runs with misogyny ball so far that he leaves the park, gets in a taxi with it, goes to the airport, and throws the ball on a plane to some uncharted island in the pacific.Which, by the way, makes this film quite entertaining. After someone kills a doctor who's botched abortion killed his patient, the film shifts focus to a modelling agency and all the suspects/victims therein. Specifically, we get to focus on Magda (Edwige Fenech), a photographer...and Carlo, who is also a photographer. Carlo takes the biscuit as the most sexist Italian movie hero I've laid eyes on. We first see him sexually harassing a young girl (and succeeding!), then he hooks up with Edwige, seemingly immediately moving in to her apartment, moaning about his coffee, and reading the paper while ignoring her. Edwige, for her part, doesn't seem to mind being called stupid, being shouted at, or even throttled. Ah, the innocence of young love.Oh, and there's some murders too. Our motorcycle-helmeted killer starts working his way through the cast, and I won't really go into much detail about it as it's a giallo, but if you want to see an extremely fat man trying it on with a model, then this is the film for you. Our chicks are there for eye candy, except for the boss of the agency, so of course that makes her a lesbian.Weirdly, I expected LESS from the director of The Zombie Dead, but here, at least on a technical level, he seems to do a bit better. There's some nice Argento/Bava style cinematography, and the music is what you'd expect. Violence wise it's touch and go, with some nice gore effects but not much carnage. However, clothes fly off without much prompting so you've not got much to worry about there.Fun stuff...not a top giallo, but I can't help but be impressed. And, as usual, the ending is jaw-droppingly stupid, and morally questionable.
