snagal I remember when I was little girl and all I wanted to do was dance, sing and act in plays for my family and relatives. I was part of a band and every day we would sing the same songs over and over, because we didn't realize that we should have been trying to CREATE original songs and dances and plays, and so on. I am so thankful that Mr. Whetstone had the determination to speak his mind, express his beliefs, and warn the world what will happen if they play God. You see it every day. The ACLU acts like God. They want God taken out of the public arena. It's wrong to tell others how to think. I am a born again believer, yet I don't force others to preach or talk about the ever after. Bravo Mr. Whetstone. And Bravo to the courageous actors and actresses that played the lead roles. The backdrop of the movie was absolutely gorgeous. I read it was somewhere in the Caribbean. Hope Island I believe...how apropos.
stebax My girl and I had the pleasure of jobbing with James, here on Mauritius about a decade and a half ago while we were lensing a TV Series called Tropical Heat. In the States I believe it's titled Sweating Bullets. To get on with it, James was definitively one of the more conscientious blokes we had the day to be around. The Gent's as solid as they appear. James worked hard along side the horde of us, as though he were a spoke a the wheel. Most actors we crew-up with don't have a backbone. But James, is a humble sort, that makes with the crew, like he was one of us. I've seen most of his movies, and the Lad's quite good. I hate to sound repetitive you see, but he's a diamond in the waters, as well as I'm concerned. Wish him well we do. Keep it toward the wind James. We'll always be true fans. If you like action sorts, watch U.S. Seals, and Delta Force, Clear Target. Spot on James.
marisa-24 Do you have the slightest idea where we came from, where we are headed, and why? The writer/director Whetstone poses and interesting dilemma when it comes to proving his theory. Yet, he makes the story compelling enough to ponder the possibilities. The stars (Jim Fitzpatrick, Maria Conchita Alonso, David Warner) are perfectly cast. The writing is straight forward and pulls no punches when it comes to including the backdrop of Whetstone's Christianity. His religious beliefs are upfront and obvious, and I don't have a problem with that. I think that when people stick to one theory of life, and don't listen to other's opinions, they have stopped the educational process. You can never stop learning...never stop growing. I feel that this film is as strong as any I've seen in a long time.
jcalley The Computer age has arrived. There are complex discoveries unveiled daily. Hence this recent film supporting theories of all sides. "The Code Conspiracy" is the hardest kind of movie to review-but it's also the most enjoyable kind of movie to watch...due to the depth of it's conclusions. It's been months since I've viewed this film, yet it stays with me. Before writing my slant, I wanted to let its theories, content, and characters sink into my head. The film was based on an idea of ultimate knowledge. I could spend pages discussing the techniques of Whetston's intentions and decisions, but I will not. Jim Fitzpatrick and Maria Conchita Alonso are two of the greatest actors American cinema has to offer; it's pure pleasure watching their characters clash, meld and roll. The sexual tension was more than sufficient for the story to play out.
