Samuela55 I really enjoyed this movie. I laughed out loud at the scene in the restaurant with Javiera and Joel, when Javiera confronts the kitchen staff. I also appreciate that no impact was shown when punches were thrown. I LOVE happy endings and this one had it.
rglenn-91682 I went into this movie not liking RomComs, but this movie's charm - both leads are dripping with it - beauty, and food porn won me over. With everything going on in the country, this warm and lovely movie was a welcome respite. I still don't like RomComs. But this film is a hug in movie form.
funambuline I would perhaps have been able to enjoy a viewing of that movie on an afternoon hangover on tv 10 years ago. Can't believe it's from 2018. Has anybody in this movie ever been to Mexico? Has anyone any idea about mexican food? (Or directing actors? ).It's kind of fascinating how much it's bad on every detail.
andrewrye-06535 I wasn't going to review this movie until I saw the other 'glowing' reviews. There is nothing you haven't seen 100 times before and done better. The leads lack chemistry and the story is predictable. The lead male is unlikeable and his girlfriend quite rightly leaves him. He travels to a small town in New Mexico and gets the girl, I have no idea why. Also if you check out the actors they are from everywhere except New Mexico or even Mexico. Bit of a shame. The language and accents are all wrong. I'm tired of friends and family rating these types of movies way above where they should be. So I'm giving it a 2, it just doesn't add to the genre.
