Some of what the harsh reviewers say is true about his film. It is cheap, the FX are pretty bad and the script is not memorable. I don't think the acting is as terrible as some say, I think it was just done as a fun and friendly project so these fine actors weren't so much 'phoning it in' as 'relaxing and enjoying themselves'. The plot isn't original - nerdy, perpetual student is forced to confront the big, bad world and gets a job in the magical library (pretty much a Warehouse 13 rip off - depending on which came first). The library is robbed and he must try to find the other two pieces of the artefact before the villain does. He teams up with a great looking woman who at first despises him but then comes to love him. A great film this isn't, but I found it fun and charming - if cheap. Sort of the movie equivalent sweet wine that you get out of a cardboard box - it's not great but you don't mind drinking it either.

If saying this is just a cheap assemblage of lazy clichés, then maybe I need to flag the spoiler alert!Nobody seems to have put in any effort into the acting, script, direction, 3D CGI, costumes or plot.This is simply a premise."They made a movie/s about a Museum, lets make one about a Library! Nope that's all we've got, so just collect together every single cliché you can think off and we'll go through them in rough order. Tick them done as we trudge through them."No pace. no development, no nothing'.I'd give it 2 but Sonya Walger's breasts get a bonus 1, it would be two if we ever got to see them.

The clumsy Flynn is very funny and shows a great chemistry with the athletic and gorgeous Nicole. Now I intend to watch the sequels of this enjoyable story. This is the most boring rip-off from Indiana Jones but hero hoes not have charisma, style, wit, nothing, just nothing. He is supposed to be the most clever guy on the Earth or something but his oh so clever remarks are just annoying. I do love clever people, but this character is absolutely disgusting. The plot is completely predictable, cliché after another cliché, only somewhat inverted - the hero is a nerd, his female partner is more Rambo-like character. In the new era male and female roles are completely inverted... only the guy is annoying like overly clever very talkative woman. But the story is really generic, you have seen the same like thirty times or so... Is there any software which writes automatically these almost identical stories? This movie is not worth watching. Absolutely not.
