O2D I usually judge a movie by how many times I fall asleep watching it but this one is different. This one took me several days to watch, yet it's somehow better than part two.My favorite thing about it is that there isn't a bunch of long drawn-out fight scenes.I'm sure most of Toxie's fans love those but they bore me.Somehow Apocalypse Inc. has returned and they have a new plan to get rid of Toxie. They offer him the money he needs for Claire's eye surgery and he quickly accepts but then turns into a stereotypical 80s douche bag.For the first half of this movie all I could think was how much better part two was but after seeing it all I have changed my mind. The overall story wasn't great but the lack of fights and the extra comedy made this better. Now let's see if I can make it through part four......
Leofwine_draca THE TOXIC AVENGER PART III: THE LAST TEMPTATION OF TOXIE is the third in the long-running Troma series of trash movies about the mutant hero. I still get a kick out of remembering the kid's TV show TOXIC CRUSADERS that I used to watch which was based on these very adult movies.I suppose you know what you're getting with a film like this: lots of inanity, silly special effects, and outrageous gore sequences, with a bare plot to hold it all together. An early massacre scene in a video store of all places is one of the best moments but it's all downhill from that point in. The story, if you can call it that, sees Toxie lured to the dark side to work for an evil corporation, and you can guess what happens. If you're a fan of Troma's own special brand of rubbery fun then you might enjoy this film, but I imagine most film fans will be hard pressed to find anything to like about it. The overacting really is difficult to watch at times and the constant assault on the senses is somewhat overwhelming. Still, some of the silly humour works at times, so it's not all bad.
Darth-Helmet After the events of part 2, lovable monster hero Toxie must still deal with the diabolical Apocalypse Inc. as he struggles to get his fiancée's eye operation to restore her sight. He joins the corporation and becomes a yuppie then the hero that Tromaville loves, unknown to him that the owner of the corporation is actually Satan planning on taking over the town of Tromaville but can Toxie regain back his soul and take on the dark prince himself or will Tromaville suffer? The absolute worst sequel in the series! it has none of the charm of the original Tromatic masterpiece or the 4th entry "Citizen Toxie: Toxic Avenger part 4" which pretends that this and the second one didn't exist. Sure some of the splatter is well done especially the hand in the VCR sequence, but it's a truly unfunny entry with no sense of humor or excellence like the original.Stick to the next sequel "Citizen Toxie" for the best sequel of this franchise.
sebaveron2001 Monster mash sequels, who the hell needs them, not me. In one of the most laughably boring (though you may be too bored to laugh) films ever, not so much a spoof as a rip off that sends itself up, it obviously doesn't take itself seriously enough and that proves costly and it ends up being one of those films that you remember wanting to see to give a bad rating and say you'd seen it, you walk away like you have been completely and utterly un-enthralled, (which is how you will feel after watching this), pure trash, only for the simple minded! Utter Trash*/****
