danieln-15525 They are evil. another leftist propaganda to present the US in a negative light.
moveebuff1953 It took me a while to really get into this series but I'm so glad I stayed with it....It is a dark revelation of how far the US has spiralled into a dark place where a gun is seen as the only solution. Each story is a gut wrenching look into how one act can lead to hysteria, distrust, racial tensions, anger, hate...everyone blaming each other. Dark secrets are revealed, hurt so profound that breathing becomes difficult. There are so many morals and lessons that can be made if you keep an open mind.
LiquidPoetry1921 How ironic that this season's topic is regarding one of the most controversial issues of the day: immigration. The show plans to approach it from several different angles, especially immigrants who come to the U.S from Mexico to work on farms throughout the country. It will focus in-depth on the lives of those people, what their effect is on the economy, and how farms must use their cheap labor in order to keep prices competitive...or will fail. As well, it addresses another tragic issue of our day: human trafficking.Although it's an entirely new cast of characters this season, you'll recognize a few familiar faces playing them along with some talented new additions. "American Crime" might be the first prime-time drama to address life in a 'Trump America'. While most of the show was probably written and filmed before he became President, I think it's safe to assume it will address issues such as "the wall", both forced and self deportation, etc. This show was always great, but it will be even more interesting now to see how they will have 'art imitating life'.
jhenson-29069 Terrible. Season 1 was fantastic. Season two is all over the place. The overwhelmingly MASSIVE lack of acceptance for homosexuality. Why is everyone so appalled by this kid being gay? I grew up in a small town. It was not like this when a kid came out.The unimaginable disbelief of every single person that a man could be raped. Regina King literally says "What?! A man can't be raped."...You're telling me she portrays a very smart and successful grown woman and she can't fathom a world where men can be raped? Thank you writers for trying to make everyone feel stupid. Then the random interjections of the Mexican/Black war being waged at the "other" school (can't think of the name because there is absolutely no development of the story around it).THEN the random dialogued race baiting, which season 1 did not contain. One example when they're all sitting at the dinner table talking about how white people are entitled. That scene had absolutely nothing to do with propelling the story.I am truly astounded at how atrocious season 2 was. Season one dealt well with racial divides and real issues without ever deviating from the story or making the viewer feel stupid.
