jiballini64 Cop daughter runs around all over the place unaccompanied by any other police personnel beating people up, pulling her gun, threatening and generally being ridiculous while Dad gives just enough information to make sure she continues to act like an idiot. So unbelievably moronic I had to stop watching.
lev-nemkin I just got done watching this tv series as a huge fan of the movie when I first tried getting into it in 2016 when it first started I kind of thought I may not end up liking it so about 3 episodes in I stopped watching but now I finally decided to pick it up again I rewatched the first 3 episodes I'd already seen with an open mind...it ended up sucking me in I had to know what was going to happen next I loved this it held my interest not once was I bored this is definitely one of the best tv shows based on a movie that I've seen. Peyton List as Raimy Sullivan was just awesome so was Riley Smith as her dad Frank who she communicates to through the ham radio in 1996 not going to spoil too much for those of you who haven't seen it but they do change things with their actions in this too for example in the beginning of the show Frank is undercover and Raimy knows he's going to end up getting killed so she tips him off about it so he's able to defend himself then after he survives it changes and he's alive for a little longer he actually gets to see her follow in his footsteps by becoming a cop. The same serial killer also is in this which I like...The Nightingale who abducts and murders nurses the hunt for him is interesting only in this he isn't a dirty cop in this he's just the stepson of a church Deacon I'm sorry for that spoiler. Anyway if you like the movie I'd say definitely give this a look but it definitely ended on a cliffhanger it was only the Season 1 finale I definitely want to see it continued I hope eventually they do but they haven't since last year so my guess is there was really no faith in it not many people liked it so they decided not to continue it it did get good ratings for the most part though so I don't understand it I really hope they do decide to continue it.
dlordmagic After watching the first episode, since it got released to Netflix, all I could really say is Holy crappy flying tentacles Batman. Its probably the best mesh up of two distinct time concepts that I have seen thus far. One aspect reminds me of the campy love story movie Lakehouse where Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock communicate across time by mailbox. The other aspect reminds me of the Butterfly effect, where subtle changes in the past muck up the present. Creating that Back to the Future motive of needing to fix things to restore the present. Will be interesting to see how the show manages to progress the story without being limited by the radio communication.
smokeandtrain My wife and I enjoyed the movie and were a little skeptical that a TV show could live up to the movie. We were wrong, the series is every bit as good as the movie if not better. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing the story line and the characters develop for the rest of this season and for the seasons to come. Thanks for a quality program, a rarity for this day and time. The plot is gripping, the characters are believable and the transition between the past and the present is smooth. the only complaint that we have is that we wish the episodes were longer. The good thing is that we are left eagerly waiting for next Wednesday. Thanks CW for excellent TV.
