Reviews

walteraw-50692 This show may have some plot flaws from time to time, but overall, it was a great show to spend your Saturday afternoon binging or to watch after school. It had many great characters, and it seemed every season was great until season 8.
SJtheCartoonAddict This show made so much character development and improvement over the years.Mordecai and Rigby seemed to be just slackers at the beginning that just seemed to care about themselves. Especially Rigby, who was 2x as bad as Mordecai by being lazier, more selfish, more immature, and things like that. When the show progressed they both seemed to get better intentions and morals, as did everyone else. They cut back on unnecessary characters like Margaret (only there to be the heartthrob) and gave other characters more personality (Eileen became more than just the awkward one). All the characters grew a lot in this show including Benson, Skips, and Muscle Man, all kind of realizing their faults and, while still having issues, make the effort to better themselves. That being said the more recent episodes aren't doing the best job of keeping the show more relevant by forcing in the whole space thing in some pretty weird ways. It isn't working out too well, but the show is still doing okay.
Eric Stevenson It seems like we're in a golden age of animation at the time. I feel bad for not giving every cartoon out there a 10 out of 10. "Regular Show" advertised itself as something that was anything but regular. The weirdest thing is that it isn't as crazy as "Adventure Time" or "The Amazing World Of Gumball". The creator himself stated that the title reflected how he thought of it as a show about a bunch of friends hanging out with surreal stuff thrown in. That's exactly what this is. For all the insanity, these characters do really come across as down to earth. I think Pops is a popsicle, but he might just be some deranged mutant human thing. It seems like Cartoon Network is fond of making shows where everything talks. You have Benson, a talking time machine and CJ, a talking cloud, and episodes with things like a talking computer. What makes this show great is that it does manage to have an ongoing story for the most part. I mean, it has continuity. The crazy things that go on really do happen for a reason. These characters are different in every sense of the word. It's great to see these characters develop, like Muscle Man finally getting married. Another great thing is that you have no idea what will happen in any episode and what will happen next. It's hard to keep track of all the different characters. It's especially confusing when they all come back for some episodes. I recognize CJ as having the same voice as Wendy from "Gravity Falls". I think its only faults are that some of the characters can be annoying and lack some personality. It's still definitely a unique show. Mordecai and Rigby come off so realistically as friends. Most of these characters are fleshed out pretty well. The voices are lots of fun too. I have no idea who Mordecai will end up with, but it's kind of sad how Gumball is the only cartoon character in a steady relationship nowadays. The animation is fairly unique. ***1/2 out of ****.
TheEightBitGrandpaShow "This show used to be awesome." That's what I said in my old review. But that's not true anymore! This show is awesome again! They WERE following the same formula over and over (they get put on a mission, and they have to go through tasks and stages to get what they are seeking), but they don't follow it anymore! So, as a result, the episodes are more entertaining. 😏Okay, so now the characters. I like how they animate Benson now. When he yells at Mordecai and Rigby, the artists try to make it as dramatic as possible, and I love it!!!! I also like that they drifted away from all that romance junk. I hated CJ. I'm so glad they aren't showing her anymore. I'm also liking the fact they are doing more episodes with Pops and Benson (my favorite characters) instead of just Muscle Man and High-Fives, and/or just Mordecai and Rigby. The only thing that I don't like is that they are trying to make it more serious, and intense. Kind of like Steven Universe. The problem is that this show has been on for 6 years (the show's 6-year anniversary was a few weeks ago, so, happy late anniversary, Regular Show!), and for all that time, the show has been giving off a really comedic, goofy vibe, so it's basically impossible to change to a serious vibe at this point. It just doesn't feel right. I don't even know why I am editing this review right now, and adding new tips. It doesn't even matter, because it has already been confirmed cancellation, sadly. RIP, Regular Show, you were a good friend to me for the four years that I watched you.
