Destroyer Wod It took me a long time to finally watch this show. I couldn't find the french version until lately. And honestly i am so glad i watched it. Yes of course the show had its down at times and some episodes where forgivable but as a whole, i feel it was a great continuity to the movies. I know some peoples would say the second movie closed the franchise great and it should had been left like this. I agree to some extent but this continuity even tough its only 2 seasons long (and 1 being a very short 9 episodes) really works. There is some elements i liked about T3 and i am not saying it was a bad movie at all, i actually liked it as a whole and i tough it was a very decent sequel but if you give me a choice i think i would take the Chronicles before it. Its a very very good alternative and i don't wanna spoil anything but i dunno if they knew it was cancelled or they always planned for only 2 seasons, but the show manage to find a way to conclude itself. A bit abrupt in a way, but not totally unbelievable. Actually lots of it do make a lot of sense. As for instance why where the humans able to format machines.I definitely recommend it.
NostalgicMom After the first few episodes, the writers were able to do what they could with the flawed premise that oblivious producer Josh Friedman presented: Terminator as a high school drama that contradicts the rules laid down in the original movie, starring a very skinny woman as Sarah Connor, who makes such amazing choices as sending her child to public school in the States. Again, the writers did their best with this concept and made it halfway decent, and the actors are talented and do their best. The pilot, set partly in Texas, obviously caters to rednecks who are too drunk to care whether or not this is quality Science Fiction, or even entertainment without plot holes, just as long as there are hot chicks in trucks runnin' over robots. There is also a sudden emphasis on Christianity, never seen before in the franchise. Season 2 came along and the writers had abandoned many lame story lines, such as John Connor rallying his high school classmates together for some purpose. Of course, in that scenario, the audience had to wonder what happened with the abandoned story lines that they had wasted their time on, such as a girl committing suicide.Friedman's bad, trendy idea of a "hot" teen girl Terminator protector with a name (named after James Cameron, winky wink!) who had her own room in the house, accepted an invitation to the prom, and became a ballerina... this was saved only by a charismatic actress. It was otherwise illogical that this little waif could engage in fisticuffs with Terminator after Terminator after Terminator, most larger than her, and win. Though, again, the writers made lemonade out of lemons by saying that she was a custom-made Terminator who was, indeed, taking on more damage than she could repair. The writers managed to get rid of the bad Cameron character and keep the good actress for another "look alike" character in the last episode, but it was too-little-too-late for many audience members.Had there been a season 3, the writers and producers would have been able to completely escape the lame teen premise by placing John in the future after the nukes had dropped, but Friedman had alienated the target too much by that point.Eventually, I found myself pleasantly surprised by how intelligent the show became.Verdict: Great eventually.
RavenFoxButterfly This is by far the best TV show I have ever seen. I am a big fan of Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and House of Cards, but T:TSCC has them all beat.I promise you, the story line comes together in the end. You need to give it a chance. I was bored and on the fence by the third episode myself, but boy am I glad I stuck around for episode four because there was no going back at that point. Within one episode I was hooked! The reason this show only made it to season 2 is because people like those who gave up on it on episode 3 really hurt the shows following. Word of mouth spreads fast, and unfortunately those that left so early were not able to see the potential after episode three.Every single person cast for this show was perfectly picked. Garret Dillahunt and Brian Austin Green truly make this show what it is. Who would have thought that dorky kid that played David on 90210 would turn out to be such an amazing actor?? I was floored! He's fantastic. Please give this show a chance. I have never met a single person that stuck around for episode 4 that does not think this show is amazing. I've also never advocated for a show of any kind the way I am with this one. It is truly special. If not, all I can say is, it's your loss. And a big one at that.
Open_Ended_Trouser_Hanger This is pretty good after the first five episodes.Unfortunately, before the show even started, writer / producer Josh Friedman said, "Okay,I've given it a lot of thought and I have a perfect idea for a Terminator TV show: Okay, John Connor is having a normal teen existence with Sarah Connor in suburban America and it will be like all the other teen shows out there. And along comes a hot teen girl Terminator who goes back in time to when John's a teen and Sarah's still alive and brings them into modern times so that we don't have to make it a "period piece." So there should also be a bad Terminator who chases them into the future, but only its skinless head goes through time. Sure, all this would contradict the rules laid down in the first Terminator movie, but I'm sure no one will notice, and it's about time travel, so no one is interested in reality, right? What's the old rule: The more outrageous the premise, the LESS grounded in reality the story should be?" So when the other creative forces were done fixing Joshy's mess, most of the audience had bailed, which is unfortunate because it got really good for the rest of its run. Unfortunately, after that it was good but still far from perfect, and perfection would be the only thing that would save it after the first five episodes.
