Mind-Boggling If you ask a Godzilla fan what's the worst Godzilla movie ever made and they don't say it's this one-there clearly lying to you. This movie has NO redeemable quality's,there is no reason you should have to suffer through this annoying garbage. this is the pits when it comes to Godzilla movies, the producers and director just didn't give a F*U*C*K anymore and wanted to make a quick-cheap buck on Godzilla's name! DON'T watch this no matter how big a Godzilla fan you are, trust me I'am trying to save your brain cells.
Bruno Andrade My rating for Godzilla's Revenge (and don't hate me please) well I'm gonna give it a 6.0/10 because if you watch this movie has a kid you will like it this movie was actually made for kids i know some fans hate this movie because they want Godzilla movies to be serious not for kids but anyways i watch this movie has an open minded person and i enjoyed it i think it was very fun to watch to bad there is no Portuguese dub or i would let my little sister when she gets 5 years old watch this movie.i love anything that has to do with Godzilla no matter how terrible it is some people use to say to me damn you're a real fan
Michael_Elliott Godzilla's Revenge (1969)** (out of 4) A young Japanese boy is being bullied so in his room he imagines that he's on Monster Island where he's befriended by Godzilla's son while Godzilla himself beats up countless monsters. GODZILLA'S REVENGE is a pretty cheap movie all around as it features footage from at least two other movies but at the same time I think some people are a bit too harsh on it. Yes, if you're expecting a serious or dark Godzilla film then you're certainly not going to find it here but overall I thought the film, while incredibly stupid, at least managed to be fun in a campy way. The film's story is incredibly stupid and rarely makes too much sense as we follow this young kid from his normal life to his imaginary life on Monster Island. The son of Godzilla has to be one of the silliest looking monsters in screen history but at the same time I've always found him rather cute in his own way. The film is certainly aimed towards children and I think on this level it actually works. It's certainly never scary and the monsters are just more charming than anything else. The film contains battle scenes from other movies in the series and while you can make a great case that this here is just cheap, you can also make the case that it's fun to see all the monster fights. The performances are bad as you'd expect and the English dubbing certainly isn't that impressive. The Godzilla suit looks as ridiculous as ever but then again, were they ever really that good? GODZILLA'S REVENGE is a silly little movie that runs a very quick 70-minutes and fans of monster movies should enjoy it.
joebergeron A cowardly young boy is subjected to mild bullying from other local boys. Even his little girlfriend abandons him when confronted with his craven nature. Suffering a mental breakdown, the boy experiences uncontrollable hallucinations. In them he witnesses the incessant squabbling of various giant monsters and also befriends Minilla, a man-sized creature who appears to be assembled from greyish feces. Minilla also has the ability to increase his size to about 2/3 that of the other monsters, permitting him to be beaten up by them. The boy assists Minilla with tactical advice, eventually enabling the hideous monster-child to briefly get the best of his primary nemesis. From these examples the boy learns to solve his problems with violence and by victimizing innocent bystanders for the amusement of his former tormentors. He appears ready to become the new juvenile terror of his bleak industrial neighborhood.
