The press essentially acted like this was the first film to have female leads in the history of cinema and insinuated that if you didn't see it, you were a bunch of sexist pigs. Sorry, trendy, PC critics, it's a lousy movie. Bad script, bad direction, and just a whole lot of obnoxiousness. There are other films out there with women in them (despite what the MSM tells you), so seek them out and don't watch a film that uses political correctness to guilt you into seeing it. If critics want to be masochists by making themselves like mediocre movies for political purposes, go ahead. But they can't force the public to follow their lead, proving, yet again, the public is much more intelligent than the critics give them credit for.

I like Reese Witherspoon very much and I think she is very talented actress. So I'm trying to watch every movie she is in. And also I am a fan of comedies and chick flicks, so why not try this one too. Hot Pursuit's plot did seem okay, when I read the short summary, but after 15 minutes I realized that this movie is going to be boring and predictable. The characters were so annoying, and in the wrong way. There was nothing we haven't seen before.I wonder why Witherspoon agreed to do this movie, because this was terrible. No entertainment value what so ever and no funny jokes. And Vegara was just plain awful, no talent in acting. Or at least not in this movie. This is not the worst movie I've seen, but definitely Witherspoon's worst movie.

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vegara stars in action comedy about a young female cop who tasked to provide security to a widow of a drug lord as they cross towards Texas amidst crooked cops and murderers that is entitled Hot Pursuit.Anne Fletcher directed this buddy comedy.The film is similar to the Thelma & Louise in the sense that we have two female lead characters who are on the road.But unlike the Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis starrer,this film is definitely lacking in more ways than one.We have a lot of unfunny jokes and a thin plot.Added to that,it presents nothing new as all the elements present in it are definitely going to be familiar for many moviegoers from the similar films they have seen in the past. Too bad that the film did not capitalize on Witherspoon and Vergara acting talents.Basically,it was just a visually entertaining film as we get to see these two gorgeous women for most part of the film and nothing more.

I don't know why people are giving this such bad review, Its Comedy, its supposed to be ridiculous. i had tears coming out my eyes from laughing so hard while watching this. It was amazingly funny, i haven't laughed like this in a long time, and i never looked at this until it viewed on cable for all the low ratings it got. just goes to show you got to make up your mind for your self, not everyone likes the same things, But I loved it, Im sure I will watch again. Reese is extremely funny and I've never seen Eva in anything, yes, I've never watched any of her stuff, but she was hilarious. I would recommend this movie, its a good slap stick belly jerking good time.
