Boba_Fett1138 In all fairness, this movie is just as good (or bad) as the other movies out of its series. This is no big surprise, since all of the movies are being more or less the same with its concept and set-up.Three movies later we still basically no nothing about hell house or what's the demons want exactly. It's just lazy writing from the writers, who think that it's enough of having a ghostly concept, that allows the movie to feature plenty of cliché horror moments in it. Guess that is a bit of a missed opportunity to add some more depth and overall originality to the movies.I didn't had as much fun with this movie as I had with the other ones though. This is mostly because this movie doesn't really feature any likable characters in it. It's also less comical written and orientated as the first two movies, which is another reason why this movie is overall less fun to watch.I also wasn't very fond or impressed by the movie its overall look. This seemed like a real cheap movie and I'm just not that crazy of the '90's style of film-making and look in the first place. But what all three movies have in common is that they all still feature some real great horror make-up effects and some other practical effects, that all add to the movie its horror and goriness. And it's funny how the Angela keeps popping up in this movies, cause I really don't have the feeling that it was the original intention for her to be the 'main' villain of the movies. It makes Amelia Kinkade the only actress who appeared in all three movies. She plays the same characters every time and also basically does the same stuff every time. It's not exactly the most refreshing or original movie series but at least it knows how to stay a constant consistent one and therefore I also just can't really rate this movie any lower than any of the previous ones.So really, it's nothing too bad. If you liked the previous two, there should be no reason why you shouldn't like this one as well.5/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/
darksorcerer I bought this movie for $2 at the local variety warehouse, the cover looked pretty cool and like many times before I've bought it on the cover, though i should know a cool cover doesn't mean the content will be good. The version i have got is called Demon House, i was surprised to see that it is actually part 3 in an ongoing series "night of the demons" The opening Credits were not the best show of special effects, sort of a mix between 80's effects and power cartoon effects. The plot and or story was very simple to follow, the film had the stereotypical variety of cast members, "the cheerleader", the "not so good looking friend" the "slut", the "nerd" the "rebel", the "good guy" "the badguy"and the "token black guy".The sound was crap with noticeable discrepancies in the soundtrack and the actors mouth, the slapbass song at the start rocked though, the gore was mediocre, i didn't know blood was that shade of red. There were an abundance of boobs which i think is good.Overall there were many a scene that is so bad it must be good, but in hindsight is just bad.Plot 4/10 gore 5/10 sound 4/10 (slapbass bit rocked) casting 5/10overall 5/10 (im being generous)
Theo Robertson ... I did say " almost " DEMON HOUSE as it's known in the UK is one of those horror movies made in the 1990s which uses every single cliché that caused the slow extinction of 1980s horror movies . It starts off with some horny teenagers in a van saying lots of clever things like " I bet your mother ... " and coming close to killing one another . One can't help asking if they despise one another so much then why are they hanging out together ? The answer is simple:this is a horror movie so all logic goes flying out the window Even so this film is much dumber than most horror movies you will see . For example the story is set up via a shoot out so the teenagers have to go on the run because they think they've killed a cop . That's bad enough but they haven't killed anyone and for reasons that defy any logic a detective decides he'll hunt the kids down because he doesn't want the uniformed cops taking the law into their own hands . Hmmm yeah I'm sure every police detective in the world thinks along the same lines Meanwhile the horny teenagers hide out in a house that is possessed by a demon . Not so much a demon , more of a MILF . I'm sure if you're a horny male teenager then you'd be unable to keep your eyes in when you see a really hot brunette in her thirties wearing very little , but strangely most of the boys don't seem to notice . Intestingly everyone wanders around alone for no good reason so you don't need me to tell you what happens next and you'll be asking yourself why the protagonists didn't do such and such a thing . The answer is very obvious: this is a horror movie and not a very good one either
RockySchlockyRobot Third outing in the series and , amazingly, nobody has thought of demolishing the house and having a priest pee all over the foundations (or something suitable that would destroy the evil). This time the house is visited by a van full of teens who are on the run from the law. Some of them are on from the law, at least, and some of them are just caught up in the middle of things. Unsurprisingly, Angela welcomes in the new blood with open arms. This has just as much fun with the gore and the death as the previous two movies but it takes a step down with the level of acting throughout. Almost everyone involved here is pretty poor and it's not surprising that you won't recognise any of the faces. What is surprising is that the third outing in this series is still almost as much fun just because of the freedom and opportunities provided by the central idea. This may be the one I'd not choose to watch again but I certainly wouldn't mind if it ever did appear on my TV and I was distracted by it.
