Raul Faust After twenty minutes of length, I asked myself: "where have I seen this woman before?". I was pretty convinced it was in one of the "Scary Movies", and I was right. Jenny McCarthy and Chris Eigeman play two lonely adults who face problems with sex and relationships in general. One interesting thing to notice is that woman can pass months and months without having sex, whilst we, men in general, cannot. The way director chose to film this picture is very original, mixing self talking with normal talking. There are plenty of funny scenes, mostly built with clever thoughts about life and love, not letting spectator down or anything-- actually, most of the time we are laughing or smiling. As a romance, it is no big thing, but for comedy and entertainment without having to turn your brain off, it is GREAT! Congratulations Matthew Miller and cast.
Ian Ray Hawke (act2LA) Amazing! Over the years, I have discovered some of the most original and memorable films on late, late night TV and this is definitely another one of those little gems. Probably the most charming thing a movie like this can deliver is absolute unpredictability. You watch; you immediately discover these fully-developed, charming, complicated, quirky, fascinating characters -- and they just take over. They simply start to do their thing and it's not like anything you have ever seen before -- because you've never seen these characters anywhere else before. Wonderful! It's called originality and it has become a very rare thing in a movie from any major studio. This film is completely absorbing and entertaining -- every minute is an adventure -- and you just do not want it to end.You have to wonder -- how did this miss getting noticed when it first came out? Was it a bad title? In this case, it seems they couldn't decide which of the two titles to use. Yes; you will find it under BOTH IMDb-listed titles! Was it simply the failure of the marketing department? Obviously, lame titles and poor marketing have torpedoed the release of many a fine film. But wow -- what an inspired script -- complete with sparkling dialog. The film is superbly directed -- and just look at the class-A on screen talent here! Jenny McCarthy is truly sublime in this role.
wolf1322 An enjoyable underrated film about how fate can often influence people's lives, especially when they are least expecting it. Particularly amusing was the love/hate relationship between the two leads. The highlight being the restaurant scene.Surprisingly good was Jenny McCarthy in the lead female role, I say surprisingly because I later learned that she used to model for playboy magazine. She seems to be criminally underused in the film business and deserves to be given more good parts in the future. In summary, a really good, little romantic comedy.
dmerck I really liked it. Good paced, light hearted comedy about what men and women hope for from love. Lots of little tidbits for those who want something a bit deeper, but none of it in your face. I was quite impressed with Jenny McCarthy's performance. I think she can break out of the "sex symbol" mode and establish herself as a bona fide actress. I hope she gets more roles that challenge and allow her to exercise more of her acting skills. Eigeman reminded me of a younger Charles Brodin.. but his performance worked well.
