It's cute, silly and a bit of fun. Although it will never win any awards it still has it's charm. The characters may be a little weird and out there but they are entertaining in their own ways. China Anne McClain is certainly the star of the show and has great potential. The occasional catchy fun song is thrown in from time to time which also adds to the likability of the show. While it is not superb television it will entertain you. There are good episodes and bad ones and luckily they ended the show on a high before it dragged out too long. It is great for kids, not so much for people with short attention spans but it really is not that bad.

Most shows of this genre either do good because of a super-talented leading lady who gets marketed as a singer who has mediocre acting ability with a great ensemble cast or because they have good writers. ANTFarm has a good cast and the singer has is also a good funny actress. You can't say that about Miranda Cosgrove, Debby Ryan, Victoria Justice or Bridgit Mendler. At least about being funny, since all of them have funny cast members, but they get stuck as a typical boring protagonist. She sings way more than most other actresses, but most of the time it's a song that Disney can't sell on a soundtrack. And in those songs is were you hear how good of a singer China Anne McClain really is. She was the bright spot on a mediocre show for Tyler Perry, and the show is made by the creator of the Suite Life, which doesn't instantly equal a great show. But they casting makes up for it. You can really tell they have fun with the script and that the writers have fun writing them. They run on a sliding scale of real-life and make-believe that you would expect from Wizards of Waverly place or a even a cartoon, but it works. Viewers can really enjoy this unconventional sitcom, that almost de-constructs sitcoms. The characters are very genre savvy but it makes sense since they are child prodigies. They use zany schemes, some have unresolved episodes, but it's all in good fun. Some show forget they are sitcoms, not this one. The villains are evil, Lexi and Skidmore, but get laughs since they are a little over the top. Olive helps make the show, but had a couple times when she is the villain to Lexi or Paisley, which is awesome, even though she is "foiled". Sierra McCormick is does a great job but they show is in jeopardy of her being a spotlight stealer, because that is Chyna and Lexi's job. Fletcher, Angus and Cameron aren't your typical heartthrobs and that speaks volumes for their comedic ability and acting chops. But even the nice looking people on the show have skills. It's really a show that gets the most out of its cast. It's as if they know the formula for making a good show in the current environment. Kudos to China for outlasting Cymphonique and having a longer potentially a longer run than keke Palmer, with the renewal of the next season. With them being high school freshman in the pilot, the show can only last four seasons, and the show should easily accomplish this, since it runs on Fridays but still outdid Victoria and iCarly near their end, with the exception of iGoodbye, of course. But still had a better episode premiere the same night. And that's saying a lot. If it's not the best show on Disney, it's only because there are currently other good shows on Disney.

Haven't you people learned the art of comedy? Obviously, the people who made A. N. T. Farm didn't. Why should I use a giant magnifying glass to burn down the studios that made this crap? Let's dive in...First of all, the actors are as bland as Selena Gomez in Wizards of Waverly Place. The creepiest character out of all these "people" is the boy who kisses his hand while imagining that he's in love with one of the main female characters of the show. It would be funny if a girl sees this boy and smacks the living daylights out of him, but it never happened. Then, this show is not, I repeat, NOT FUNNY!! There's this scene where a robot shows up and this audience(I'm using this word in loose terms) starts laughing. Then, one of the characters say "Look! A robot!" and the "audience" laughs again! To quote the Nostalgia Critic: Not Funny plus not funny EQUALS NOT F______ FUNNY!!! Jiminy Crickets! That scene was unfunny that this scene would make Disaster Movie look like A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum! I'm sorry, was I suppose to laugh? NO I'M NOT GONNA LAUGH BECAUSE YOU IDIOTS AREN'T FUNNY!! If you don't agree me, then you're brain-dead! Bottom Line: Bland actors, frightening characters, and no comedy what-so-ever is proof that A. N. T. Farm should have been squashed like the ant it is.

As my daughter was watching A.N.T. Farm today I happened to overhear the following statement from a character: "I'll pass my debt on to my children like a true American". (http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=Fhg3jI5oLyc Forward to 16:22) This is absurd to me. I do not identify myself as a Republican or a Democrat, I keep an open mind as I expect all of my children to do. Comments like this on this platform are ridiculous to me. I know that "to each his own", but when you are writing and producing and SHOWING a TV show geared towards millions, you sometimes have to worry about what someone thinks. We've been Disney watchers since the Lizzie McGuire days and not once can any of us remember such a politically driven statement made on any show. We will no longer be watching A.N.T. Farm (I'm sure one viewer won't hurt), but I will continue to get the word out about this episode so people can be more aware when they think it's okay for their kids to watch. Had this been "I'll grow up and marry a woman" from a female character's mouth - I believe without a doubt this would have never made it to air. Before you think that "oh she's some hippie liberal chick" - wrong. I'd be writing this SAME thing if the other words had happened. Our kids need to be KIDS, plain and simple. Let them deal with these adult issues when they get there.
