Reviews

iamazad24 Hustle is one of the best TV shows that exists at this time. Its an honest opinion from someone who have seen 24, Homeland, Chuck, Prison break,Sherlock and many more. However, each TV series has its pros and cons. But in this show you can find absolute fun and not a boring moment. You will love Marc Warren without any hesitation. I have seen 3 seasons in a row and missing Adrian Lester and I don't know why he is not in the show. This TV series has wit, lots and lots of tricks, a whole bunch of teasing which anyone will find absolutely hilarious. Robert Vaughn gets loads of respect for his presence in the show. He plays the big daddy who has experience in conning almost anyone. Glenister is dazzling as a technical genius and the truth is whatever he is expected to do in the TV series is believable. He not only does the computer, he has to act and react to convince. Jamie is like a filler in each episode and later I believe she has gained a reputation of being very important. This show reminds me Oceans movie big time. Its my second British TV series and I have become a fan of their accent. If you haven't seen it, just take a ride with the first episode. Trust me, every one loves a great con.
Syl I found this treasure of a crime drama with a focus on a group of professional burglars on television in the middle of the night. The episode was set in Las Vegas where the gang had prepared to heist five million dollars in cash from an aquarium. Leading the pack is the wonderful American actor, Robert Vaughn, who is getting work in London rather than at home. He's great as the leader of the pack and I loved his Elvis costume. Well, the gang has a strategic plan to get the money. It's only afterwords that we see how it's done and what happens afterwords. People in Las Vegas don't forget especially at the casinos. Well, the acting is top rate with veterans like Robert Glenister and Adrian Lester in the cast. I didn't like the fact that the gang seems to always get away with the crime in the first place and that keeps the show going but it's how they do it. It's a clever series!
Akshit Markan Hustle is my first British TV show. Before watching this show, I was told that British Television was full of boring stereotypes. But, Hustle really stood out for me as it was witty, entertaining, slick and stunningly stylish. The show is about a group of diversely skilled con artists who perform a series of scams and heists which are elaborate and challenging. It first looked like an Oceans rip-off but came into its own as the pilot progressed.Adrian Lester plays the clever, charming con man 'Mickey Stone' who has a perfect record in conning the rich. He is the leader of these 'pros of con' and completely outclasses rest of the cast on screen except Danny Blue (Marc Warren), a young talented short con expert who tries to join Mickey's team. Marc Warren certainly adds a touch of class and elegance to the show by his super comic skills and sarcastic nature.Another unique quality of this show is the 'freeze frame' shot along with 'thought tracking' in which time stops so that the characters can explain the minute details of the sting. The technicians crew have to be credited for this amazing camera-work. The writers also have done a great job by adding plenty of twists and turns in the plot, thus, making it worth watching.I have only watched the pilot till now and for that I would give it 8/10 but the show is bound to get better with time.
smivs11 This is quite simply the best British television programme that I have seen grace our screens. For those of you new to Hustle, there are 4 series - 24 episodes - of brilliance waiting to be watched. Series One and Two can only be described as 'must-see', each episode beautifully crafted with style and humour, revolving around the London-based con artist crew carrying out their latest elaborate con on the greedy, each with a twist at the end that you just don't see coming. Series Three sees the show get wittier and the cons get more elaborate, without so much as a dip in quality (though nothing could better the second series' finale), though Series Four finally revealed some cracks in the programme as it lost it's most important character - the leader of the group Mickey - which results in the cons becoming less sophisticated and the lovable Danny being mistakenly portrayed as amateurish by the writers - but fortunately the episodes pick up midway through the series and by episode 5 you wonder why you ever doubted them! I'm ending this review right here because you're already missing out on valuable time that could be spent watching this great show!!
