djg32514 I am a Sean Bean fan but this series is really a waste of his talent. The plot is infuriating and all the time line jumps wore me out. The characters are superficial, shallow and cliché. I watched season 1 hoping it would get better then season 2 started and I tried to watch but found myself fast forwarding through it. Not my cup of tea at all. Almost painful to watch. I hope Sean Bean finds a role which more fully utilizes his talent because Legends definitely doesn't. Honestly I got more enjoyment out of the book. Not sure if the show writers were lazy or just lacking in talent. TNT has done some shows really well but not this one.
LumpyMusic First season, darn good. Watching Bean play all the various characters, and play them well. Interesting FBI anti terrorist stuff etc. Then for some reason, second season went to heck. No more playing "Legend" roles. He's wandering around Europe with greasy hair looking for his past, his family, something. The constant jumping back and forth in time over 2 or 3 decades is difficult to follow. No real "action" in any of the episodes. No cliff hangers. No nuthin'. It's like the writers went on strike and the camera operators said "Ok let's film something over here and splice it in".
David Story lines and character development are good. There is plenty of intrigue. I stopped watching after a few episodes the first season. I didn't remember why so I watched the first episode of the second season. It is the foreign languages and the jumping time lines! If I want to read for entertainment I will read a road. I believe the jumping time lines show a lack of confidence in the product. The jumps are also a trick to give the appearance of depth.I just deleted the series from my DVR record list. I will remember this time.
robin_should I loved season 1 and was happy to hear that this was renewed for season 2. The fact that Sean Bean is a great actor and was able to put all his abilities as a chameleon into season 1 made everything so interesting. The not knowing who this man really is, then the season finale, what will become of "Martin"? I have watched episode 1 of season 2 and can say I am impressed with the way they have taken the story. The acting is still top notch, the writing proving just as powerful and making you want more. A very well done to everyone involved. I have to say I think season 2 may even be better than 1.
