I love good sci-fi adventures and enjoyed watching Time after time. For one reason or another the networks keep canceling sci-fi series after only a few episodes have been aired. This one lasted 5 episodes in the States.Spain and Portugal's networks thought differently and aired all 12 episodes made. I was fortunately able to see the remaining episodes too. I consider this series above average of its genre and thank these European networks for airing them. The producers of the series also had more than one season in mind and the final episode ended with a cliffhanger.Which network has the heart to take up the gap and have more seasons made? Sci-fi supporters will thank them from the bottom of their hearts!

I loved this show but found it on HULU. I only have a vague recollection of it being advertised at all. This station did NOT jump on the bandwagon of Timeless. That series got sued as well as canceled. This series has a good rating and yet it was canceled and in my area was pulled after only 5 episodes. The series is based on a novel by Karl Alexander and was made into a movie in 1979. This is not the first adaptation of this book. Time travel series have been around for a long time. I remember the Time Tunnel but this story line is different because it deals with Jack the Ripper and H.G. Wells traveling in time. Wells is traveling in time to bring him back to their time line to face prosecution for the murders he has committed. It is tied to a specific group and conspiracies that go back generations. I loved this show and it was a mistake to take it off. The two main actors were very appealing and the one playing the villain was excellent. Even if you can only watch the first five episodes it is well worth watching regardless. Too many networks jump the gun on canceling shows and leave on some series that are not worth watching. I can bet baby boomers like myself watched this show but we aren't counted, no one after 49. What a shame because this series had a great premise and was well acted. I saw no factual reference that anything was used from Cyndi Laupers song Time After Time. They are unrelated. A very enjoyable series that was canceled too soon.

I like the story line, I like the writing. The acting is good, except for Jane (Genesis Rodriguez) she can not act at all. Her eyebrows are creepy and she is so whiny and annoying. This show would be great with someone else playing that role, anyone else! Other than that the show is good and intriguing. The actors who play H.G Wells and Jack are fantastic.

I am big fan of H. G. Wells, mainly of his novel The Time Machine. The adventures of this book are amazing. However, this TV Series needs to explore more the concept of time travel. On the book there was a very interesting explanation about how the time travel is possible, the author explained about the fourth dimension, how we are constantly traveling on time when we think about the past events
This explanation made us believe that travel on time is really possible. While on the TV Series this explanation is summarized in a few simplistic sentences. Besides, there are few long time travels, and when it happens it does not shows the transformation in the environment such as the aging of the objects around. I think these details would make it more plausible.By now, I have just watched a romantic story between H. G Wells and his girlfriend, while they chase a ripper. This plot is not interesting. It 's like a Mexican soap opera of the XXI. This TV Series talks little about time travel and too much about the century XXI. The whole story is about chasing a man in the present moment. Where are the adventures of travel on time, meet different civilizations or our own civilization on higher stage of evolution? Will we see the past or the destiny of humankind? I hope so. Cause after all, what is the point of a Time Travel TV Series which does not talk about time travel.
